Featuring brand new titan class warships that dwarf even the mightiest of capital cruisers, each of the 6 factions brings some additional firepower and special abilities that will tip the scales of battle in their favor. Players can now select the Loyalist or Rebel variant of their chosen race and be introduced to their faction’s unique titan warship. Although visually impressive, these space behemoths are dependent on the play style of the gamer.

Players will get to level up their titan ships and it’s best that players do so according to their preferred style of gameplay and also adapt to the circumstances. It is recommended that players test these titans out and also deactivate the auto-cast button and master the art of timing their abilities.

Ragnarov (TEC Rebels)

A massive dreadnought that’s ready to do some hard-hitting, the Ragnarov is also the easiest titan warship to master. That’s because it exists for just one thing - laying waste to everything in its path. The Ragnarov’s skills all relate to dishing out damage or buffing its attack. The skill Scattershot unleashes a torrent of missiles directly at the enemy whilst its other skill Snipe does a single-target longshot that deals a ton of damage.

It also has Explosive Shot that deals a nice AOE against the enemy. Finally, the ultimate move Overcharge doubles the damage of the next skill that’s used which is frankly overkill when followed up by snipe. All these skills make the Ragnarov perfect in 1 on 1 engagements with other titan warships and starbases. This titan is ideal for picking off targets from long range and doing reliable damage against enemy ships. The only downside is that it’s very slow and that it has a blindspot on its back making it vulnerable to flanking attacks.

Vorastra (Vasari Loyalists)

Unlike many of the other titan class warships within the game, the Vorastra goes against the grain. It does so by being extremely mobile, being able to teleport or ‘phase’ around the battlefield, catching enemy defenders off-guard or using it to escape certain annihilation. This is due to its game-changing ability: the Micro Phase Jump which also allows it to stay out of range against long-range damaging titans like the Ragnarov. Desperation is another ability that gives the ship some endurance by being able to tank some damage and reduce weapon cooldowns.

The Vorastra also comes with the Spawn Space Stabilizer ability that allows this ship to call upon reinforcements should this ship be behind enemy lines, making it a defender’s nightmare. However, the ultimate ability is terrifying: the Maw. The maw essentially disables the ship for a moment before turning the Vorastra into a voracious devourer - consuming everything in its frontal arc and giving the player resources for every destroyed ship.

This ship is the ideal one for players that enjoy using guerilla tactics or want to surprise their enemies. However, the ship is vulnerable to bomber squadrons and it only has 2 offensive skills which require it to have support ships. Furthermore, if the ship runs of out antimatter fast, it’s in deep trouble.

Eradica (Advent Rebels)

Known as the ‘angel of death,’ this titan looks like something out of Neon Genesis Evangelion and is considered one of the most dangerous ships in the Sins of a Solar Empire franchise. This is due to the fact that this ship does more damage as it loses health. The Eradica contains skills such as Purification that allow players to destroy a friendly ship to siphon its remaining shields, hull, and antimatter. Meanwhile, Chastic Burst does nice AOE damage to a single target and causes other explosions that will affect units within a certain radius.

Strength of the Fallen is a skill that allows every dying ship near the Eradica to have an increased damage output of 8%. This ability can be stacked up to 5 times, meaning that ships on the brink of death can deal 40% additional damage to their enemies.

However, Undying Will is where it shines as it recovers antimatter, decreases the ability cooldown rate, and reduces incoming damage. This makes the Eradica a dangerous ship to go up against and in seasoned hands, it’s nearly unstoppable. However, the Eradica does need nearby ships to truly do some serious damage and it is susceptible to bomber attacks, so players need to watch out.
