This is the first time that The Sims franchise has done an in-game special event like this, following in the footsteps of other popular games like Fortnite, which has played host to in-game performances from huge artists like Diplo, Deadmau5, Travis Scott, and more.

The Sims Sessions is an exciting addition to the growing number of virtual events happening in in-game worlds across the internet. This event features performances from Bebe Rexha, Glass Animals, and Joy Oladokun. These artists will perform in Simlish and sing some of their newest and most recognizable songs.
How To Get To The Venue
The Sims Sessions only happens on Sundays in a Sim’s town. On Sunday morning, players will receive tickets to the event and it will automatically spawn in the household inventory with information on when the event starts and where it takes place.
The ticket description will read, “Sims Session Ticket: A ticket to the exclusive Sims Sessions music festival, headlining Bebe Rexha, with additional performances from Joy Oladokun, and Glass Animals! Click on the ticket for more information, once it is placed on a wall or from a Sims’ inventory!”

The event will start at 12 pm, so be sure to head over at the start time. The concert venue is in the town of Willow Creek, at the lot behind Magnolia Blossom Park’s common area. A music note icon will appear on the map on the day of the event to indicate the event’s location.
Following the signs down through the trees will lead players to the event site. This Sims Sessions event has a rustic, outdoorsy vibe, perfect for any Sim that enjoys camping and connecting with nature. The venue feels intimate, casual, and fun, perfect for a Sunday afternoon.
Performances To Watch At The Venue
EA has transformed its lineup into Sim replicas of the artists. Joy Oladokun opens the event with her song “Breathe Again,” from her 2020 album In Defense of My Own Happiness (The Beginnings). Dave Bayley from Glass Animals sings his popular song “Heat Waves,” a perfect summer track from Glass Animals’ 2020 album Dreamland. Bebe Rexha closes the show with “Sabotage” from her newest album Better Mistakes. All of the songs in Simlish are recognizable and well-adapted.

During the performances, players’ Sims can gather around the piano on the grass around the stage. There are a few options for interaction. Players can “Take Photo,” “Get Hyped” for the artist singing, “Cheer On” the artist, or “Clap for” the artist. After the performances are over, players’ Sims will be able to take to the stage themselves to perform in front of the audience at the piano.
What Else To Do At The Venue
Besides watching the live performances, there are plenty of other things to do at the Sim Sessions Event. There’s merchandise and miscellaneous items to purchase. Players can buy tents, camping chairs, guitars, toy balls, or a firepit to enjoy during the event.
Each of the three artists has branded t-shirts that players’ Sims can purchase in-game to show they’re a true fan. There’s also a craft table that players can examine or run themselves. If players’ Sims get hungry or tired, there’s a coffee stall with food and caffeine ready for consumption.
Players can also interact with the many NPCs that will also be in attendance. Unfortunately, none of these beloved Sims NPCs will be at the event. But if the Sim is on a date or hits it off with an NPC, it’s also possible to Woohoo in the tents or the public bathrooms.
Troubleshooting Issues And Concerns
Some players have reported issues getting the event to start, even though they’ve received a ticket and arrived at the venue at the right time. There are a few possible reasons for this.
First, make sure the game is fully updated. Some players have found that they have to click on the ticket and inspect it in order for the event to actually spawn in the world. Others have shown up before 12 pm on Sunday to the venue and waited at the venue, only to find that it never starts. Arriving at the venue shortly after the start time will remedy this. Unfortunately, showing up early will prevent the event from happening. So for the Sims Sessions, a little late is actually better than early.
If players are concerned about the town or the state of their game, there’s no need to worry. If players have modified or removed Magnolia Blossom Park or any of its surroundings, the event will still work because it technically occurs off-lot in a common space.
Sims from any world can attend the event without problems, and the Sims Sessions event will work for new games and existing ones. If desired, Sims can attend this event repeatedly every Sunday until the event ends on July 7 at 10 pm PT.
