If you have these skills, and more, you might have what it takes to join the NFL as the Director of Digital Forensic Investigations. 

It’s been a tough year for the NFL in the legal realm, with abuse cases embroiling stars like Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice. Of course, the saga of Deflategate drags on … and on.

Those controversies aside, the NFL’s job opening, posted on Indeed.com, is a standard position for a multi-billion organization.

It’s unclear on whether the listing is for a new position, or to fill a vacancy. The league drew widespread criticism for its investigation of the Ray Rice abuse case, specifically its handling of a key video that showed the incident.

The job opening, based out of the league office in New York, requires 10 years of experience in law and certification and training in digital forensic examinations. A high degree of computer literacy is a must, as is the ability to communicate effectively with top league and team officials. And yes, one of the requirements really does state, “Role requires long periods of standing, climbing stairs and walking in connection with NFL game and stadium operations …”
